Virtual Economics 4.5 Workshops for RI K-12 Teachers

After-school Virtual Economics 4.5 workshops for Rhode Island K-12 Teachers were held on these dates:
Tuesday June 2, 2015 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm at RISLA, 560 Jefferson Blvd, Warwick, RI https://virtualeconomicswarwick.eventbrite.com
or Thursday June 4, 2015 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm at RIC, 600 Mt Pleasant Avenue, Providence RI https://virtualeconomicsprovidence.eventbrite.com

The Virtual Economics 4.5 flash drive (value $159.95 each) contains over 1,400 economics and personal finance lessons. http://ve.councilforeconed.org/ Fidelity Investments generously committed to providing one copy of the Virtual Economics 4.5 flash drive to every Rhode Island school in 2015, free of charge. The workshops offered training to K-12 teachers on how to access and use the economics and personal finance lessons on the flash drive, including applications to national standards for financial literacy that were recently adopted in Rhode Island. The training was for elementary, middle and high school teachers and was conducted by Dr. Margaret Brooks, President of RI Jump$tart and RI Council, and Professor of Economics at Bridgewater State University.
